Sarissa win means hat-trick of Eco Awards for Hyper TP yachts
Everyone at MAR-IX was delighted to see the stunning 60-metre sailing yacht SY Sarissa win the 2024 Eco Award at the recent Boat International Design & Innovation Awards. Beautifully built as always by Royal Huisman Shipyard, the award jury was full of praise for Sarissa’s “multi-faceted approach to cruising with minimal environmental impact.” One of the key eco-friendly solutions in place which helped Sarissa take home this prestigious prize was the Hyper TP system from MAR-IX. Among the specific benefits of the custom-designed solution we developed for Sarissa was the integrated recovery of waste heat from her generators, chillers and fresh-air system.
No coincidence
This is now the third year in a row that a yacht with a tailor-made MAR-IX HVAC system has won the Eco Award. Last year the honour went to MY Rocket One from Gulf Craft and in 2022 it was the turn of Baltic’s SY Perseverance.
